How the days of each 1/8 are split, and how you book them.
How many days a year do I get per fraction?
Each 1/8 comes with 42 days a year. They are split differently in beach and mountain homes so that every owner gets the same opportunities.
How are the weeks distributed?
In beach homes you get 6 weeks: 2 in high season, 2 in mid season and 2 in low season.
In mountain homes you get 17 days of ski season across 3 stays, one of them in high season (the December long weekend, Christmas or New Year). You also get 1 week in July or August and 3 stays outside the ski and summer seasons.
How does the fraction exchange work?
We have built a system that spreads the opportunities across every owner, so that each year you have good options to choose from. In the first year the order follows the purchase date; from the second year the rotation takes over.
Can I rent out my weeks?
Yes. You can rent out your stays after the two selection rounds and the exchange window. The VIVLA team handles it and prices it against the market, and the income is shared only among the owners who chose to rent.
Can I leave my things at the home?
Yes. Every home has storage space so you can leave some of your things there, such as skis in the case of Baqueira.
